Getting the description right
Rather like Policemen, who for some reason always refer to a car as "a vehicle", estate agents have their own special language.
And despite there being thousands of similar properties, the chance to buy a converted flat in a Victorian terrace is a "unique opportunity".
I can only image that estate agents use such terms to try to bamboozle people into thinking they have some form of intelligence or expertise.
Either way I am determined to make sure the description I write for my property advert is as honest and accessible as possible. And against my journalistic tendencies I will also try to keep it as short as possible.
Once I have filed my description with propertybroker.com I have just three days to frantically clean and tidy my flat before the photographer comes to take pictures.
