Ask Charles Thomson about the Equitable Life deal

Some 60,000 Equitable Life with-profits policyholders will be asked to vote on whether their funds should be transferred from Equitable Life to Prudential, the UK's second biggest insurer.

If you are an Equitable Life policyholder and want to know what the deal means for you, Charles Thomson, Equitable's chief executive will answer your questions next Friday.

To submit your question....

... simply fill in the form below.

Mr Thomson's answers will be live on the site at 2pm on Friday.

If we are shifted into the Pru and at a later date the Ombudsman's recommendations (or those of the EU)
result in a recompense payment, will we be judged to have voluntarily moved out of the circle of recipients?

How in all honesty can Charles Thompson and Vanni Treves take already long suffering policyholders into a deal with a company that has been cited in The Sunday Times (Insurers to rob savers of billions), last weekend, for distributing reserves or excess capital to shareholders at the same time that they paid no bonuses to policyholders

I am a with-profits annuitant and although the proposed deal with Prudential looks to be a good move, what happens to the current 'Final bonus annuity'? Can this be removed by the Pru just as it was by Equitable? If so as part of the deal with the Pru we would like to see the 'Final bonus annuity' moved into the 'Declared bonus annuity' pot, where it will not be removed.
