Top ten professions most likely to cause a car crash

If you are a lifeguard or surgeon - look out, your car insurance could be about to get more expensive, because according to a new survey, these are the professionals most likely to cause a crash. Astrologers and, surprise surprise, driving instructors, are among those least likely to cause accidents, the research by moneysupermarket.com found.  Richard Mason, of moneysupermarket.com, said: "If there is any logic to it, astrologers, watchmakers and chimney sweeps should be paying a lot less than systems analysts, insurance inspectors and statisticians." Find out if you are in the list of best and worst drivers below.

Those are some amazing statistics. I would have never thought that. I find it interesting that insurance inspector is right up there too.

From what I read I would have to say that police drivers must be in the top five or so. They travel around with no regard for the speed limit because they are almost always let off even if they are reported

Curious that, as an actor, and therefore one of the lowest risk professions liable to cause an accident, I have been refused car insurance by every major insurer on the grounds that I'm a dangerous proposition.

Presumably the astrologers see the accidents coming and avoid them, while the lifeguards wait for an accident to happen then try to save the victims ?
